Invitation to Audition for the UB Symphony Orchestra

The UB Symphony Orchestra is now holding auditions for the Fall 2007 semester.  We welcome our new Music Director and Conductor, Christian Baldini, and look forward to the great repertoire the orchestra will play in concerts this Season.  Some highlights are the Symphony No. 1 by Beethoven, the Pavane for a Dead Princess by Ravel, Mozart's Clarinet Concerto (with Jean Kopperud as the soloist), Schumann's Symphony No. 4, Mozart's Requiem and the Haydn Cello Concerto in C, performed by Jonathan Golove.  Be an important part of this new wave of energy for our Symphony Orchestra!

Auditions will take place during the first (and, if necessary, the second) week of classes.  Students can sign up for an audition slot on the board of Baird Hall 302, North Campus.  If you prefer, you may contact Christian Baldini directly at cbaldini@buffalo.edu.  For details about how to audition for the orchestra, please visit our website:

Korean Folk Art Club's General Meeting

The Korean Folk Art Club, also known as So-Ri-Mo-Ri, is a UB Student Association-recognized club.  KFAC focuses on promoting traditional and modern Korean folk art, through learning and practicing the traditional Korean farm dance known as Poong-Mul.  Our main goal is to reach people with a part of Korean culture and through that we want people to learn and experience the unity of our club.

KFAC offers many performances throughout the year.  For the past several years, we have performed for International Education Week, International Fiesta, Club Fair, Asian Bazaar, the Korean Graduate Student Association’s (KOGSA) New Year’s Party, the Korean Student Association’s (KSA) “Korea Night” and many more.  We have also performed at other schools, including Binghamton University, Syracuse University, Colgate University, Oberlin College and Niagara University, as well as for the Buffalo community.

If you are interested in joining our club, please come to:
